Color Cuisine

Inspired by the work of artist Richard Nelson, a protégé of Josef Albers, I began playing with the developing code to create abstract geometric color patterns after several classes with Nelson. The idea behind these is simple – using only three hues of varying opacity, randomly selected by the program, generate geometric shapes, randomly placed on the canvas. It does take a lot of playing around with the computer code until you get something that starts looking interesting. I like these for the interaction of the colors and use them as my computer desktop wallpapers.
