I’m a big fan of animated infographic explainer videos. Designing and creating them is the heart of my visual explanations business. They’re a fantastic, effective, and engaging way to explain something in a short amount of time. But many small businesses are often surprised at the cost. Animating and editing custom graphics can be very time-consuming.
With that in mind, I wanted to create a tutorial that people could use to learn how to make their own basic animated infographic videos. Most of us who create professional animated video explanations use professional motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects, Flash, or Apple Motion, but the learning curve on these tools is pretty steep. Though nowhere near as powerful as those tools Apple Keynote (and Microsoft PowerPoint) have basic animation capabilities that you can use to create your own basic animated videos.
