As I mentioned in a previous post, part of the assignment for week 1 of Alberto Cairo’s Introduction to Infographics and Data Visualization course, we were tasked to critique and discuss this graphic.
We were encouraged to redesign the graphic, and I wanted to do something a bit more elaborate than what I did in that previous post. I decided to try an Italian-style, inspired by the works of Fransesco Franchi and Accurat. While I’m not completely satisfied with the result, I do think that it’s an improvement over the original in the respect that it makes comparisons much easier.
Redesigning an infographic is a great way to learn how to make an infographic more functional.
