I’ve been coming across a lot of interesting articles and presentations on various aspects of visual thinking lately, but just haven’t had the time to pursue them to the degree I’d like. So, here’s a round-up of things, for myself as much as anyone else, to pursue at some point when I have more free time.

Jeffrey Heer, Michael Bostock and Vadim Ogievetsky of Stanford University wrote a nice article awhile back that I’ve just come across that “provides a brief tour through the “visualization zoo,” showcasing techniques for visualizing and interacting with diverse data sets.”
Karl Gude’s Presentation at the Society of News Design Conference
Karl Gude was the InfoGraphics Director at Newsweek and now teaches infographics at Michigan State Univ. Journalism School. He recently published his presentation from the Society of News Design conference on Free online tools for visualization and infographics.
